Brain Education Days Recognized Around the World

In 2009 so far, 12 international locations have recognized Brain Education System Training (BEST), comprised of hundreds of body-mind programs and methods for benefiting health and well-being, by proclaiming official days honoring it. BEST was developed by Ilchi Lee, president of BR Consulting, Sedona, AZ.

These cities and states have proclaimed Brain Education Day or Week: New York (January 8, 2009), Busan, South Korea (February 15, 2009), Santa Fe, Albuquerque and New Mexico (March 11-15, 2009), District of Columbia (March 16, 2009), Denver (April 18-25, 2009), Las Vegas (April 25, 2009), Cambridge, MA (May 6, 2009), Fremont, CA and Mountain View, CA (May 8, 2009), and Buffalo Grove, IL (July 5-11, 2009).

According to the various proclamations issued, Brain Education is a system of human development centered on the brain and based on the philosophy that understanding and developing the brain is critical to improving the human condition. It consists of five simple steps that build upon one another, and go from the physical, to the psychological, to the philosophical. These five steps are Brain Sensitizing, Brain Versatilizing, Brain Refreshing, Brain Integrating, and Brain Mastering. Ultimately, it is a system of self improvement designed to not only create happiness for individuals, but initiate a wave of health, happiness, and peace throughout the entire world.

Ilchi Lee, a pioneering brain philosopher and educator, often points to his own life story of growing up in war-torn South Korea as what later motivated him to devote his life to researching and teaching how to better utilize the human brain to promote health, happiness and peace. He is the president of the non-profit IBREA and the Korea Institute of Brain Science, a NGO in consultative status with the United Nations. He has authored 31 books, all illuminating some aspect of how to use one’s brain effectively and successfully.

Students of Brain Education have reported an ability to reduce stress and increase productivity in their work and daily lives. Teachers of Brain Education in public schools have seen a greater connection to their students, who achieved less stress, increased confidence, improved focus, better health, and higher academic results. The sense of well-being gained by practitioners has inspired many to provide free classes at their companies, schools, churches, senior citizen residences, facilities for military veterans, and community fundraising events.

On August 15, 2009, Ilchi Lee will be the featured speaker and performer in the “Brain Art Festival” at Radio City Music Hall. With a revue of high-charged brain-body performances, the Festival will show how we can empower ourselves to become a “Brain Artist,” someone who uses BEST to create a fulfilling life (a work of art) that also benefits society. Brain Education techniques are explained in Lee’s books including Brain Wave Vibration, In Full Bloom, Principles of Brain Management, and Power Brain Kids. These methods are also taught in Dahn Yoga centers across the United States. For more information, visit www.dahnyoga.com.
